Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) Program

The THCGME Program gives money to train doctors in primary care at community health centers. The goal is to help these doctors learn to give excellent care, especially in rural or underserved areas where healthcare is limited. The program teaches skills so residents can care for many kinds of patients and communities, making sure everyone gets the medical help they need.

the purpose of the thcgme program is to provide funding to support the training of residents in primary care residency training programs in community-based ambulatory patient care centers. these programs will prepare residents to provide high quality care, particularly in rural and underserved communities, and develop competencies to serve a wide range of populations and communities.
