The Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvements Grant Program gives money to states to improve crime labs. States can apply for two types of funding: formula funds and competitive funds. This announcement is only for states asking for formula funds. If a state wants competitive funds, which some states and local governments can also get, they must apply separately under a different program called the FY25 Paul Coverdell Competitive Grants.
